Georgina Collington was born in Nottingham in 1974 and began studying the piano with Gwendolyn Reiche at the age of six. In 1993 Georgina was awarded the Amy Stockwin Piano Scholarship and went to study at the Royal Northern College of Music with John Gough. During these four years she took part in masterclasses with Arnaldo Cohen, Aquiles Delle-Vigne, Bracha Eden, Peter Katin, Gyorgy Sebok, Barry Snider en Nancy Weems. At the end of her study she was awarded the Peter Donahoe Piano Prize. From 1997 Georgina studied at the conservatoire of Amsterdam with Matthijs Verschoor.

Georgina is currently busy performing chamber music with a variety of instrumentalists and vocalists. She also gives piano lessons at Scholen in de Kunst in Amersfoort and regularly accompanies young, talented musicians in competitions and concerts.

Georgina helped establish and is a trustee of the THE GWENDOLYN REICHE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP. This is a prize that funds postgraduate piano study.
